oh it’s def a cultural landmark. i thought it was fun esp the sylladex programming jokes at the beginning but then around act 5 or 6 it casually doubles the cast like oh yeah here’s every troll’s ancestor with their own backstory and look mate i’m sure they’re all very cool but i just do not have the brain real-estate to keep track of all that

game that just got released on Switch for 15 bucks has nothing to do with us, what in god’s name is that
real talk a game design quirk i’ve noticed over time is i initially had the impulse to be like “i’m gonna add all kinds of different things to the game! there’s gonna be something for everyone! it’s okay if not every player enjoys every feature, they can just ignore it!” but in practice people tend to be completionists and would like to engage with everything, and in some circumstances one feature bogging them down can be enough to turn them off from the whole game. it’s a tricky balance to strike
do i make the Cookie Clicker stock market minigame less dull or do i leave it as a testament to the atrocity of the real thing
my concerns about the minigame came from regularly seeing folks complain about how dull it is yet here i’m mostly seeing comments ask me to keep it just the way it is. amazing
fwiw like with every other minigame i do have plans to expand it just a little bit eventually! make it a tad meatier and more involved
